SOLPRINT / FORESTRY STEWARDSHIP COUNCIL |
February 2006
SolPrint helps Padstow based TJ International achieve Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) accreditation.
TJ International, Printing World's Environmental Printer of the Year, is the latest printing company to achieve FSC accreditation. This was achieved at the end of January 2006 on the first attempt with no non-compliances listed or reported.
TJ’s Environment Team led by Environment Manager Neil Boucher and Chairperson Nigel Hawke put the achievement down to full staff involvement and feedback of ideas, which were incorporated into FSC working procedures. Software in the form of ‘SolPrint Pallet-tracking’ developed for this purpose improved the traceability and data collection for all paper stocks.
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international network that promotes responsible management of the world’s forests. Its product label allows consumers worldwide to recognize products that support the growth of responsible forest management worldwide.
SolPrint is a leading Management Information system utilised by printers throughout the United Kingdom. “With our Pallet-tracking tools clients can track movement and traceability of all stocks providing a solid ‘Chain of Custody’ helping our clients gain the sought after FSC accreditation”, states i-teba MD Peter Griffin.
“This development represents another key reason why SolPrint proves to be a powerful management information system for our needs”, states Neil Boucher of TJ International.
